I painted up some breathing pop max copies

Whats the secret to keep the breathing holes open? The epoxy kept filling up the holes/slots in the mouth. As they were on the turner, I used my airbrush to blow them out and that worked great, until the epoxy self leveled and kept filling them up. The fish dont care, But I was trying to keep them open. I know that spraying the finish would help, but thats not how I like to finish mine. I kept the epoxy as light on the bait as I could.

Just looking for some tips some may have found.

I dont like thinning my epoxy as it looses strength.

What is the diameter of the hole? Can you insert a piece of tubing and let it extend past the two holes and then trim off the excess after the epoxy dries?

I had the same problem with D2T. Thinning it definitely will solve that problem and works well with the Cyclone ko's as well. I know you said you don't like thinning the D2T. The only other solution I know of is to use either e-tex or Bob Smith Industries Finish Cure. Both work well and no thinning is needed. By the way, did you ever hear back from them?

I painted up 5 of those, I thinned 2T on 3 and used DN on the other 2. Both came out great (as far as the top coat goes, the paint job could be better).
