    Inserts on casting guides

I have had quite a few problems with the inserts coming out of my casting guides. Never caused that much a problem, until i lost the very top guide's insert out of my skeet reese rod. It is fraying up the line substantially every time i used it after that. I'm trying to find somewhere to buy the replacement ceramics. What is the best way of getting this fixed?

Re: Inserts on casting guides (KYSkeeter200zx)

get a new tip or guide. not sure whats on the W&M rods, but my experience with them, is they are not high-quality. Get a fuji or kigan replacement tip top and replace any guide where the insert has come out. Once they come out, even if you pop them back in, they will eventually keep falling out.

So your basically saying buy this kit i have linked below and replace them? Now if you have an insert missing 3 or 4 guides down and you cant just replace the whole guide do you just take an insert from the fuji kit and glue it in?

I pretty sure you would have to replace the whole guide
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Inserts can't be replaced.. You'll have to change out the complete guide.

Re: Inserts on casting guides (Jerkbait)

Well it's a little too short of notice for that one. I have a big tournament next week, and most definitely need this rod. I just went ahead and bought the fuji replacement guides to fix it. Thanks for everyone's help!
