    protech powder coat jug heads

    iHow are you guys heating your jig heads hot enough without melting the plastic weed guards?

    try the pins from do it. bake the powder coat, then glue in the weedguard. hope this helps

    I have read if you heat your jigs in the oven for about 15 minutes around 250 degrees with a piece of aluminum foil on the weed guard you should have no problem.

    Did you but the heads WITH the weedguards already in place? if so, there are not too many ways to do it without distorting the fibers. I could go into great detail on this one but the only one that comes to mind is to get some of the tubing Do-It offers to shield the fibers, It does not fit very tight so be careful with it or it could end up in your paint!
