    Question about fluid beds?

Hello all! I'm new here on the boards, I've been reading a lot of your posts for awhile and thought I'd like to join in as there are a lot talented people here and seem eager to share their information. My question is, on the float beds I've seen here, You talk about the filters in between the air chamber and the powder. Is there a screen in between the filter and air chamber too? I was wandering what kept the powder from falling past the filter? I've started making a few shakey head jigs and the powdercoat I'm putting on is way to thick and these fluidbeds seem to be the only way to keep the coating to a minimum, plus they will save a lot of $$. Thank you all for a great site and for your valueable information.

I use paper lunch sacks for the bottom of mine. Just silicone them on the pvc and cut off the excess. The only drawback is you need one for each color. Coffee filters or vacuum bags work also just havent got around to trying them yet. Hope this helps. John

We use coffe filters right now. You just have to experiment with how many to use some colors take more than others. We usually use 2 or 3. Good luck and post us some pics of your finished products when you get it all worked out. If you don't have a fluid bed you can build one pretty easy and cheap.

Thanks, I got some materials to build my floatbed from the list of items I saw here on the site. I still have to put them all together. I was just concered about how the filter system was put in..
