Advice on jig tying and crankbaits

Looking for a winter time project to keep me busy while the water is hard. I want to start making jigs and crankbaits. What do I need to begin making jigs? What is the best place to buy the things I need for this? Any tips or ideas would be appreciated. Also, looking to buy some crankbait blanks and starting painting (RC 1.5 & 2.5) Where do I begin with this? Thanks for your help everyone. If if matters, I do have a good deal of experience tying flies. So I do have thread, vise, etc.

If you are making jigs from scratch see the two links below for molds and components. I prefer Jann's Netcraft.
