    Megabass knockoffs

Is there any where out there that sells unpainted Megabass vision 110's knockoff's? Have any of you tried them or are they a waste of money?

I bought quite a few a while back off Ebay. They are surprisingly good quality. The internal weight transfer ball rolls silky smooth. They have great detail and the wall thickness of the plastic feels thicker than other blanks I've bought.

But, for the life of me, I don't recall what I searched under to find them?

A word of caution when buying KO baits, especially anything with a weight transfer system make sure you put hooks on the baits and run them in the water before painting. On the Megabass bait pictured the weight transfer ball rolls easily while its in your hand but after a few casts the ball falls out of the groove and puts the bait off balance. Without paint you can see it and can sometimes get the ball back in place by holding it upside down and banging it in the palm of you hand. Once its painted you can't see it. Of the five I also had 3 that leaked water, hopefully your topcoat will correct that.

I didn't care for the Griffon KO bait either [pictured], but the Ito 110 copy is a pretty darn good lure blank. I've fished them a lot over the last year with no problems.

I stopped buying the Griffon KO's for that very reason. They simply arent the best running blank out there.

Punch in "unpainted lure blanks" bustinbassbaits has a few. there is a new seller named unpaintedlures that is carrying Megabass kos too. bustinbassbaits also has a website, but you can get his lures cheaper on eBay

I've got a few real megabass that do the same thing. The balls stick in the back of the bait after a cast and drops like a rock, tail first.
