    RPM'S

I am running a 2006 Bass Cat Puma with a 2006 225E-TEC-HO. E225DHLSD--05150404. I have a 24-Trophy + on it and can turn 6000 rpm's. I have been told that this motor likes this rpm. I like to throttle back to 5800, or so. Will 6000 hurt this motor ? Thanks Derryl...

and who told you that the motor likes to be run above the factory redline which also may void warranty coverage for improper use?

    Re: RPM'S (SEAHORSE)

I was told that by some guys that are running the same motor. I don't have warranty, it ran out in April of this year. I was lied to when I bought boat about warranty. Warranty card was not sent in yet so I get 3 yr warranty, just send it in. Warranty started when motor was put on boat, I found out. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to hurt my motor, I was just curious about running @ 6000 rpm. Like I said , I throttle back to 5800 and it does good enough for me. Might get a bigger prop to keep it in 5800 range. It has good hole shot and good speed as it is though. thanks ...Derryl...

as a general rule, 2 strokes like RPMs, but not above manufacturers recomendations, especially in standard build as it came from the factory.

You oughta be able to turn a 26P prop with that mota. 5800 is all I would turn mine.....ESPECIALLY without warranty. JMHO
