    Round rubber skirt material

So does anyone have any tricks on how to seperate this stuff when making jigs? Or do you just tear the strands apart and keep going until they have reached the end of the strip? Also, how do you line them up in order to put the bands or tie them on the jig? I know this sounds confusing in that im not really sure how to word my questions. Basically if you make jigs with this material would you care sharing your process?

    Thanks, Will

When I hand tie with 2 wraps of 20-24 gauge wire, I pull the rubber really tight and cut with scissors close to my hand. Dull scissors actually work best. Each strand will strip itself as you cut slow. You can cut faster when you get used to doing it.

I tie mine with thread instead of wire, only difference.

Re: Round rubber skirt material (21XDC)

So, you just cut the one inch wide strip with all stands still attached the lenght you desire and then wrad around jig with wire. After that you just simply pull and cut the still attached strands and they will simply seperate from one another? Thanks this info is really helpful.

    Thanks, Will

Cut the material 1/2 inch longer than you want the finished length to be. Tie on the material where you like it to flare (longer in front, or longer in the rear etc) I take each strip and seperate into 3 seperate pieces to pull on. Pull on one of the thinner strips far out from the bait and cut.
