    Lucky Craft RC knock off's

    Hi all

Has anyone had any luck with the Lucky Craft RC knock off's. I can't get any of mine to run true no matter how much I tune them.

I do not have those specific ones but the other baits were the same way.

unfortunately, that is the problem when you buy alot of the knockoff baits. I am not saying that all are bad but, you will find that there will be more bad ones than good ones

It's a real shame to, as I really liked the way the lures turned out.

Take sandpaper to the bill and round the corners a little bit and give the front of the bill a little more round appearance. If you do this and use all 3 balls you should be able to get it to run. That is what I have done to all mine.

Is it a result of putting clear coat on the bill?

No the knock off comes with a very square bill. It is also thicker than the RC bill. Look at one of your RC cranks and try to match the bill to that.

I will try to work on the bill, it can't hurt any. Thanks for the help.

try opening up the rattle compartment. I had the same problem with a few of mine and took out the ball bearing's then they ran much better. Some of them leak and the rattles will rust together and hang on one side. Suck's but it's just something you deal with when you paint cheap blank's..

Let me see if I get this. Buy 10 knock off LC's, $2.00 ea. about $4 s&h for $24.,
even without painting or hooks. One works. For the same $24 you could have 1 real LC and 2 Bomber, Norman's or Bandits.

Did you contact who you bought the lures from, some guy's will replace bad lures.
I know they want good results not bad results like was posted here.

    Re: (Bass Boat TR21x05)

No I didn't, the baits didn't cost much money and their good to practice my painting on. Most of my painting is on repainted crankbaits that I already have.

forgot where i saw it posted but it is so true buy a 2 dollar knockoff and put a 20$ paint job on it you still got a 2$ bait.. personally if i am going to have something custom painted i want the real thing.. I would suggest buying Academy cranks and repainting them I have have good success with them running true out of the box and they are only a 1$ more then most knockoffs

Knock offs should be just as good as the originals, I know predatorbassbaits knock offs, most of them are made from the company that makes some of the megabass lures for megabass.
The knock offs have to be a little different but all should swim right, if not a replacment should be given.
They want good results not bad results.
A knock off should be worth just as much as a original, it is a original in its own sence but just does not carry the name.
