I am think of pouring my own stick baits and am looking into aluminum molds. How do you get the worm split the long ways into 2 colors? Like a sunrise Taqualia?

I hand pour using mostly del's molds what your asking about is called a laminate pour. You have to use a divided pyrex cup. the divider is made from roofing flashing and held in place by jb weld compound. delmart has a great forum as well as photos. Basically you heat both colors then pour into your mold, it will either be a true laminate or swirled. Its tricky as all hell. The other way is too open the mold and pour a the first color, close the mold after a few seconds as the plastisol sets up , then pour the top color down the sprout hole. Problem with that is the two colors sometimes seperates when casting then with some frequency. hope this helps. Core shooting is advanced stuff and not the cheap either.
Here is the way I do laminates.....
I open the mold.... Pour the first color mix on one half.... DO NOT POUR INTO THE MOLD OPENING. Keep the plastic about 1/4" below the ferrel hole.
Then close the mold and pour the other half thru the top hole. Make sure your 2nd pour mix is a little hotter so it bonds to the half already poured. Do a thin stream and you'll get nice laminates.
You can also do this with any 2 sided mold...Like frog bellies, tails, tips etc. Just make sure your 2nd mix is hot to bond.
Hope this helps.
