i posted on props but maybe some one here could help, we have spun 2 hubs in 3 weeks 2008 225 Etec HO 27 tempest plus
does any one know the solution,we got a solid hub kit today from the local propo shop goes to a bravo and they said it would work ,the splines dont even come close to working,any help would be greatly appriciated.
My 225 HO melted several Merc hubs kits. Some of the HO's have an update or cooling passage that can be added if i remember correctly, don't really recall. On mine i went with the Michigan wheel hub kit #XHS-100 (interchangeable with merc kit) and never melted another one. I have since disposed of that motor. Try it, it may work for you.
Your etec is 13 spline,if I recall correctly,no 15 spline will ever fit it.
I'm pretty sure all v6s are 15 spline and the small etechs may be 13 ,but even most of th v4 are 15 spline.

What year do you own?
I am curious as to if the splines do match or if its merely where the prop ends up at on the shaft the latter can be cured with a drill bit.
Older rudes do have 15 spline,L1 gearcase is friendly about what older units it fits,not quite so with the L2,or 2008 and up etecs in general.
I run older motors than ho,but love love the stats on the ho.
