have you built any rods using the winn grip?
It good
I dont thin they will hold up. I had to re grip my clubs after a few years and fishing has go to be harder on them.
The grips aren't available to custom builders to my knowledge. My understanding was that grip kits were going to be made available so you can replace the grips and put on n any other rod you wanted to.
I'll admit I've had the same wonder about durability as onebatcat. The guys that I know who golf a lot have to replace grips a fair amount and are constantly cleaning them.
I would be interested to see if they hold up with severe use - more than being handled on a golf course because on a course they spend more time in the bag than in hand being used - and how they do with fish slime, etc.
As with anything new, just got to see how they will do!
there is a video on you tube about these grips. they are designed to be changed out just like golf grips as needed. the same process is used to change the grips out on fishing rods as golf clubs using the same tech. watch the video, its intresting.
