This turned out to be a good way to paint the craw pattern on cranks. I just downloaded a pic of the craw pattern I wanted (in this case, a Rapala Shad Rap). I print out the picture in several sizes I want, depending on the size of the crank. Next, just cut out the lines with an X-Acto knife you want to shoot paint through. And tape the paper over the crank. You don't have to tape it tight, the air from the brush (or spray paint worked too) will push it against the crank for the sharp lines. Or if you want softer edges, just hold or tape the paper away from the crank slightly.

In this case, I transferred the pattern onto a few other pieces of paper.

I took a pic with and without the flash to better show the patterns.

My craw is on top, pattern in middle and Rapala on bottom(probably pretty obvious though). My crank isn't cleared yet.
