    rod wrapping

    do you recommend under wrapping before putting the Guide on the blank?

    It depends on the blank and the application. If it's for bass fishing, then no. It would add weight which takes away from the sensitivity of the rod.

    thanks for the help. i had never did one and all i have ever built are bass rods and a few Float-N-Fly Rods along with one Fly Rod. i knew if i were supposed to under wrap i had made a whole bunch of mistakes. thanks again

    I agree with David. No underwraps for bass rods. They are usually reserved for salt water rods.
