    custom painted lures

    when you guys paint these lures is sll the work free hand or do some of you use a template over any of them. some of these look better than factory.

    just wondering because i am thinking of getting into painting this winter and kinda wanna know what i am getting into.

    I use a lot of templates, or find thinks to shoot paint through. ( minnow net for scales, a comb for vertical lines ) Part of the fun is trying to make a lure look like the one you have pictured in your head. There is some trial and a lot of error when you first get started. Here is a link to some I have painted.
