First time building a rod.....

I am gathering items to build my first rod. I want to use a butt cap similar to what comes on the shimano crucial rods. Just the black round cap at the very end of the rod. Where will I find some of these and how do you install it?

I am a loomis guy but am building on other blanks to learn. I bought a shikari 663 SH II on sale.... Anybody have any experience with this blank.

Thanks for the info. I have been on most of the sites and they all have a lot of good stuff. I just can't seem to find the butt cap I was looking for. It is the style that comes on the factory crucial rods. Not sure how I would install it either. Any body build on this style or know where I can get one? Thanks again for the help.

Try looking in Merrick Tackle. All their stuff is on PDF files that you can load onto your pc. See if you can find what your looking for there. They are wholesale only but I would be happy to get it for you and send it to ya.
