    Vicious Fluorocarbon (normal) not elite.

I was wondering if you guys can give me some feedback about this line? i know its stiffer and feels slightly rough. I would like to know if its strong and hows the knot strength due to the slight roughness of the line.

I have been using it because it was inexpensive. I know you get what you pay for but I have not had any problems out of it.

What were the issues with it?

    Re: Vicious Fluorocarbon (BCBandit)

when it first came out it would actually shred when you cinched the line down even when wet. The company said it was a bad batch. I will never see a good batch! Several in my club tried it and found the same thing. I knew there was a reason why it was cheap

    Re: Vicious Fluorocarbon (Puma Jim)

I had the same results. Terrible at best! It makes you wonder if guys that are sponsored by Vicious, like Gerald Swindle actually use the stuff or if they use something else. I don't know about their other flouro, I think it is called Elite, but I couldn't imagine someone like that putting all that money on the line with junk like this. I could have had one of the bad batches too, as I bought a spool right when it hit the market, but I doubt I will ever give it a second try since I switched to Seaguar.

I hear you. I too have wondered how the pros could risk using this line. Guess it is all about the money

    Re: Vicious Fluorocarbon (bassassn)

Well maybe I have been lucky so far and have not had any problems or they changed something. Regardless with all the bad luck ya'll have experienced I'll use up what I have but will replace with Red Label.

I think I answered my own previous post. I just saw where Swindle dropped Vicious and went to Sunline!

I'll echo what other folks have experienced. The regular Vicious fluoro should be considered as garbage. The Elite Fluoro has been quite good actually!
