    Braid on top water

    Im looking at trying braid on my top water and buzz baits next season. What size are you guys using and do you like it better than mono. Pros and cons

    braid for b.b. isnt to bad but most other t.w. the line gets caught in the hooks

    30lb braid with a 15-17lb mono leader. The mono keeps the hooks out of the braid, and adds a bit of stretch if the fish thrash at boatside.

    ^^agree,, and it helps with hook sets on long cast and abrasion resistance. So far, I like it

    Yep, that's the way to fly. Braid to mono leader.
