I use 20 lb (6lb diameter) Power Pro w/ a 6-10 lb floro leader. Keep in ming braid has no stretch so keep the hook set mild or set drag accordingly.

I use 14lb stren sonic braid for drop shotting. It is the smallest diameter that I'm aware of in relation to it's label rating. Tackle warehouse has almost every diameter listed on each line they sell.

When using braid, I use Spiderwire Ultracast briad (yellow pack) in 20lb test....tie on an 8lb flouro leader and good to go.

One thing nobody has mentioned You have to put some mono backing on the spool before you spool any braid or the braid will slip and cause you a ton of problems.

What knots are used to attach the mono backing to the braid, and then the braid to a flouro leader?

I use PowerPro 10lb & 15lb with floro leaders almost exclusively on all my spinning rigs. Only exception is two top water rigs with mono.

Use Alberto (Modified Albright) knot for joining leader.

Love the feel and have had great success with this setup...
