I just use water in between color changes than use the airbrush cleaner after I change colors several times.
I just use water between colors. I hold my finger in front of the needle and let the water back flush. I use the airbrush cleaner when I'm finished for the day.

I don't think water will clean acrylic paint very well but I've never tried it so I can't say for sure. I buy lacquer thinner from the local auto parts store and use that. This was recommended to me by a auto paint/body guy who uses it for his acrylic automobile paint. A little pricey, around 22 bucks a gallon if I remember correctly but a gallon goes a long way.

Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
Windex cuts most acrylics...Windex, then a clean shot of water and on to the next color!

+1 on the Windex..I keep a spray bottle mixed to a 1:1 ratio with water and Windex..After I run through a little Windex mix I just do a quick flush with just water..Only takes a couple of seconds between colors and will save you a lot of problems...
Thanks guys. Bought some Windex and will try it.
