    bait colors????

Fishing the right bait color confuses the crap out of me just looking for some feedback from you guys. I usually fish somewhat stained waters. When the sun is out no current and no clouds do I go with a brighter color bait? and I guess on the flip side if it is very cloudy go with something dark with vibe to it? any kind of feedback would be great also looking for colors to use in clear water thanks guys!

    Re: bait colors???? (tritonex17)

From what i have learned in my fifteen years is...
Stained = Vibrant (Chartreuses, yellows, bright greens)
1/2 Stained = Somewhat bright (Bright Blue w/ some orange)
Clear = Natural (baitfish, matching the hatch type of stuff...)

    thats just what I do.

what is somewhat stained, what type of visibility do you have 1-2'?

Soft plastics I would throw Green Pumpkin with a LITTLE bit of Chartruese Spike it on the end of the tail on a shakey worm, jig trailer etc or straight black.

Hard Baits Firetiger, Chart Blueback, etc
