Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Oh, yeah! We've got some real dandies out Cali way.

Here's a 6+ from Folsom Lake a few Decembers ago:

I know some may disagree, but I sure love fishing for those magnum spots this time of year!

    Re: (Ridge Runner_20)

Ridge Runner, You guys got some hosses out west!! To this day I haven't personally seen a true 7lb spot caught out of Georgia. I hear of them but I haven't seen a reliable pic. Our record is like 8lbs and very small change. But it's rare to see a 7lber. We do have 6's tho.

Here is my best spot 6.3lbs on a Hudd. I actually have 3 of them in the 6lb range.

    Re: (T Mike)

Sweeeeet fish, Mike! Yeah, we've got a few bigguns out here. The last two world record fish have come from Pine Flat Lake just outside of Fresno (Central Cali). The biggest I've ever laid eyes on was a 7lb. 10oz. spot a buddy of mine took at Lake Shasta (jig fish, IIRC). I too have three 6+ spots to my credit, two from Folsom and the other from Shasta. My best thus far was the second Folsom fish at 6lb. 8oz. (no pics ) The one in the pic was 6lb. 4oz. LOVE them magnum spots!
