    How to fish a tube?

Seems like i stay hung up on lay down trees and stuff. I have never fished a tube and plan on trying to get familiar with them this year. Could you all give me some insight on how you guys fish them and maybe a trick on avoiding always staying hung up?

Are you riggin with a jig head? I pitch around docks and cover a lot so I rig all my tubes texas style - weedless. I use anywhere from a 3/0-4/0 EWG Superline.

Although I have started to use jig heads more for smallmouth in casting situations.

    I rig mine with these.....

Its an internal weight...the hook is inserted same as it would be for a Texas rig.

    Totaly weedless

you can also use a bass casting sinker to do the same as those glider weights.

Skip gap hooks are good for tubes too with a small tungsten bullet weight and a stop or peg to keep it in place. TX rig them and let em fly.

    You can 'stoopid' rig it.

    Kinda like T-rigging for tubes.
    -
You don't need this special kinda hook, just rig it with the eye peeking out the front a bit.

I normally pitch and flip them with the weight pegged and with a rattle inside.
In open water I drag and hop it.
