I put flourcarbon on some reels, still had mon on others and yet others have YoZuri Hybrid. The braid is easy to detect but the others get forgotten.
Is there a easy way to label them somehow?

I don't have too much issue since I run braid on most of my reels... but a buddy of mine who we'll call OCD (won't use his name to protect the insolent) uses little white labels on the spool skirts of his spinning rods to let him know what's on the spool. Oh, and by that I mean on the INSIDE of the spool skirt. Works for him. On his baitcasters he puts it on the bottom of the reel... the part that holds it in the reel seat.

New record!! Caught several bass on December 31st. In Michigan! From my boat!
There was a post a while back, someone put different colored rod tape on the handles.
Red - 10lb Mono
Blue - braided
etc.

My wife has one of those label makers, and I use those to label my spinning reel spools. The tape is an excellent width and you can shrink down the size of the font very small to put a bunch of details on it if you want. It works great because I use Flame green Fireline as my main line, and fluro leaders of different weight/colors. My memory is far to crappy to keep it all straight.![]()
we have sticky lables here at work and i jsut take and write what is on the reel on them then attach it to the reel foot on the bottom where it meets the rod....they also have some little disc lookin stickers for marking what line it is and thye jsut stick on your reels anywhere you want

i use a silver sharpie on the bottom part of the reel that goes in to the reel seat. it is on the bottom and you have to take the reel off to see what size it is, but i like my reels to look clean. the sharpie wipes off w/ wd-40 or alcohol swab.
Those look cool. Thanks all. Will try the label maker thing since I have access to one at work and will shrink the font to fit the date. Not sure why you would need to label braid though![]()
