Got a question. I'm headed up to the Pool 10 on the Mississippi River this weekend for a tourny. Over the last week the water level has come up five feet as of today and will continue to rise about a foot each day. What would be the best pattern in your experience? Water will be muddy, Floating logs in channel and backwater. Grass and pads are the prime cover normally.

Can't help ya out, I HATE rising water on the river!!! Advice always given to me is the fish follow the water. If it were me, I would try to find the cleanest backwater I could. Water forecasted to come up over 10 feet. Unprecedented for this time of year. However, let me know how ya do! We've got a BassBoatCentral Rally up there 2nd weekend in September. Never been there before. Not much help, I know. I hate rising water on the river, just makes a mess of everything.
I fish that pool about twice a year. Great Pool. Tons of backwater. Some folks lock up to Lancing and go for some smallies. Last tourny we had was won with 32lbs over two days, 10 fish. All Smallies. Good luck and I'll let ya know how this one turns out.
FYI : The Iowa Federation Nation is at Prairie du Chien in two weeks.
