I had 3 of the pop max's. Great looking baits but I never caught a thing on them around here and I was really dissappointed in the action they had. It helps them to tie a loop knot, at least it makes them look more appealing to me by doing that. I finaly gave up with them and sold them on ebay. The pop X works better for me but I still prefer a Yellow Magic popper over any of them. The vision jerkbaits are really good and so are the leviathon jerkbaits. The dog x junior has caught a few fish for me but I really don't throw it much. The MR X Griffon is my favorite megabass crankbait. Those little suckers are some fish catching machines. The Deep X series work well at times for me. Except for the MR X Griffon tho I've thought most of them were really overpriced and nothing special when it come to catching fish. Megabass makes some incredible looking baits but most just havn't performed well enough for me to justify the price. I did have a bunch of megabass baits and sold most of them off cause they just were not worth what they cost and I could usually do the same or better with a cheaper bait. There isn't many megabass baits that I havn't tried, just been few that I find worth the money.

YOU know whats funny about these $$$$$ baits? Jimmy houston was pumping the Xcaliber. He finished by stating the "rebel" was just as good and caught as many fish, but the Xcaliber just "looked" so much better.
Point, the Rebel popper compared to the Xcaliber will produce the same.
But the Xcaliber looks better doing it.

I am a big fan of the POP-X, in heavily pressured lakes it will catch bass when a pop-r won't. DEEP-X's are really good crankbaits but not much of a fan of their other crankbaits. I agree they are pricey but, at certain times in a tough TX situation they are worth every penny when it helps you cash a check. NORMALLY, I love to throw a POP-R but, the ones I throw are modified, sanded, painted, with different hooks. I don't like to throw anything straight out of the box, I like to add a little personality to them...
