Re: GAMAKATSU SKIP GAP HOOK NO SLIP (DIPNET)

I have just used the new skip gap hook on 2 fishing trips. I used the 3/0 rigged with a Zoom Super Hog and a 4/0 with a Zoom Horny Toad. I hooked up 5 bass on the super hog and none on the toad. (Winter conditions are tough even in south Louisiana). LOL

However, I have made well over a hundred casts with the 3/0 and a bunch with the frog and the hooks worked as advertised. In fact, I only changed the Super Hog once. The toad was cast into and pulled through a lot of water hyacinths and it still looks like new. That "bump" on the hook really keeps the plastic stable as it gets pounded on the bank and the tree roots and laydowns. I'm really impressed.

I only wish that the diameter of the 4/0 was a little heavier, like the Superline series, for yanking those bass out of the vegetation. I use 65# braid for all my frogs. The real test with the 4/0 will come in the spring.
