    Favorite Finesse Techniques?

whats you guys' favorite finesse techniques?

i like throwing a finnese worm with a 1/16 oz Tru Tungsten worm weight, and just dragging it along the bottom with some short hops here and there. A weightless Senko is also a favorite of mine, for when you know there are fish in the area, but just can't get themt o bite.

My 2 favorite are a ZOOM watermelon/gold on a drop-shot rig and a 5/16oz. home made finesse jig in a pumpkin/watermelon flake color. I toss the dropshot around drop-offs and breaks and shake it repeatedly. And I cast the jig around deepwater structure and drag it like a carolina rig.

Dropshot rig - Yamamoto Flat tail or a Gama finesse hook on 6lb PLine on a spinning setup Use mostly green and brown colors

5/16th Eakins Jig/Craw - my goto technique. I fish it on 15lb Big Game on a heavy baitcasting outfit (kindda wierd finesse setup, but I didn't notice a big difference in the number of bites with the heavy line) I use mostly greens and browns (noticing a pattern) and PB & J.

I don't have a favorite, because I really don't like finesse style fishing. I prefer power fishing, and covering water with big Crankbaits or Spinnerbaits as my first two choices. After that, Topwaters, and then flipping or pitching jigs.

If I do have to finesse fish, my confidence baits are

1-Yamamoto Hula Grub on a 3/8 oz Football head
2-Finesse worm 4-5" with a 2/0 EWG hook, 3/16oz brass weight and a glass bead, shaking it in deep brush and along bluffs and standing timber

    Good ideas guys.

I guess next year I'm gonna have to give the shakey head more time in the water. didn't really use it much this year..

Shakey head....not one of those with the spring on them, but just a plain jighead rigged with a 4 3/4"-6" finesse worm...all kinds of colors

I've really worked on this technique alot in the past, and now can catch fish just about any day on it...practice with this stuff, and you will come to love it

I also like fishing senkos now, but don't really consider that finesse...considering a weightless senko will weigh in at about 3/8 oz or so
