lucky craft Rc1.5 anybody try them?

I just picked up 7 Lucky craft RC 1.5 crankbaits on ebay. 5 different colors. Anybody try these and got any tips for them? really nice looking bait with no rattles. got a bagley look about them. I'm hoping to use them when the water is stained or murky here in NY. thanks...

I have caught fish on them every time I tie one on

BTW.....don't buy every color......Match the Hatch in hews and you'll be OK

I agree, one of the best new crankbaits to come along in a long time IMO. I catch fish on them year round and in stained and clear water. They are awesome around timber and laydowns. Run them into limbs and stumps and like they said above, hold on to your rod cause your gonna get slammed hard.

after fishing a zoom super hog all day yesterday and only gettin 1, i switched over to the black/chartreuse RC 1.5 and it was on. Boated 4 or 5 in an hour, including a 18" nice one.

I could have sold my partner that bait for $1000 right then and there, no problem.

I have noticed on BASS University, FLW Outddors and Bassamster ttourney shows the last few weeks that these baits are quite popular on the various tours and with the pros. I know Ehrler relied on a 1.5 around docks to win the FLW championship and I have seen Ike throw one quite a bit too.

They try to keep em hush on the pro tours from what I've seen. They are very popular on the pro tours they just don't advertise their catches on em. I guess some guys have a conflict with sponsors and others just don't tell their secret bait.

how big is the 1.5 in inches? Here in ohio, we don't usually fish for lunkers.....in a tourny, you have a shot to win it if you have 5 fish, and it dosn't matter on thier size.

i did well last weekend using the BDS 1 in cover.....it is a fairly small crankbait.....

also, does the RC 1.5 dive to 1.5 feet? how about the .5?

No the 1.5 probably runs around 3' to 4' deep with 12 lb test. It is 2" long and casts great at a 1/2 oz. It is the next size up from the BDS1.

Alright....i was a bit concerned that it might be a larger bait with its 1/2oz weight........do you think it is comparable to the bagley B2?

It is comparable to the square bill baits out there. The BDS has a rounder bill, but still runs like a square bill would. The RC is more square. I've done great with the BDS 1 in the spring. The late summer or fall I've done great with the BDS 3 and the RC 1.5.

Re: lucky craft Rc1.5 anybody try them? (CShaver8)

I started this thread and thanks for all the input. The lure is very Bagley like. 1.5 casts great, Goes down maybe 4ft. I haven't fished much since boat is down and out but got alittle back seat time in TX this past monday. tried them out. didn't catch anything but they got great everything, color, hooks, action etc. when the boat gets back I'll give them a good workout. I have no clue on the other sizes. thanks again...
