Folks, I need some help. I live in central Florida and fish Harris chain. Lately, the fishing has been horrible! Most Likely due to the heat. I understand the reaction of heat and oxygen levels in the water; however, I was wondering what are the best techniques for catching bass in this hot weather. I have been fishing deep water and heavy cover, resulting in only a few small fish. Any tips is greatly appreciated.

I would love to tell you for that area. Last time I was in fl we targeted really thick grass. I will tell if that patten holds up. I have a couple of guided trips on the 12th and 13th. I love fishing the Harris Chain, the only problem that I find are the thousands of fishermen fishing shinners all week and weekend. Makes it hard on us. After the trips I will let you know how we did.

I would concentrate on fishing at night, or at least get on the water a couple of hours before dawn. The water will be cooler, and the fish will be much more active.

I have not fished FL in about 5 years so I got a trip guided. The prices are about on par for the area looking at the net. The guy I am dealing with mane is Todd. I think he is the Host of -"Strictly Florida Fishing Show"
