Wanted BAD to check out your ride! I needed to get some eyeballing on BL's work it looked sweet on your posts, and just to roll up and shake a hand and maybe ! I should be able to get back down that way this fall, M-I-L has a few more projects for me to do but I'll stay in a hotel this time and make my own agenda. We left FT. Myers Beach Thursday about 4:30 but had to get back to PT. Charlotte Moose Club by 7:00 and you know that traffic at quitting time on 75N Sorry man I do feel bad ! Now truth be told I work for Merc Racing and so does Rusty! ! CM

Re: Anyone live in SW Florida? Want to go play at Alva? (Neveredge)

    Now you got me started!!!!!!!!

The rule books for one of the prominent racing organizations is so biased against OMC's it is awful. They pit a stock 280 against a stock looper 225 and the looper boat must have 50 additional pounds. No wonder no one races omc's anymore it's just to hard to fight the rule book! Merc Racing, what a joke! They should call it Merc Handicapping!!!

Now we are Morons! ! Merc racing is a joke like you said it should be Merc handicapping. The best motor OMC had off the shelf that would run with them in the Champ boat class was the Truder/FS and then they ! So F them, #1 on the H20 sure there are a million of them, EPA will take care of that soon enough then watch what happens ! CM

Re: Anyone live in SW Florida? Want to go play at Alva? (ChampioNman)

They don't have an answer for the E-Tec and are getting scared. They thought the two stroke market was dead, hence the verado. Boy were they wrong!

I hope BRP comes out with some racing engines or at least a little company support for the guys who want to race Blue.

    Merc Handicapping

Thats a whole post in itself!

Merc handicaps racing just like the Yammies handicap retail sales by selling their product below manufacturing costs to saturate the market....only Merc racing does it with factory sponsorships and support....Just wait till Bomb gets those 10,000 rpm injectors going full force on a racing e-tec....watch out promax....here comes E-max

I sure hope sumthin else comes out for the gofast boyz! Merc is takin away all of our good hi-per motors......If Bomb could come out with something lightweight, hi-reving, and IN A 15" MID we'd be all right.

At least Yamaha is starting to get into the perf. game with those new lower units. BRP needs a good gearcase design with a selection of gear ratios. And a 15" mid would be iceing on the cake!

HP don't matter if you can't keep the ass end of your boat above water....I'd be happier to see 400lbs instead of 400hp....
