I might have a job opportunity in Manassas, VA. This would require me to close up shop, pack up and move down there. Of corse, one of the most important things to consider is the fishing. Is there a lot of good fishing with in reasonable distance? I know the potomac is near there, but what about some lakes and reservoirs and about how far are they? If we relocate, we would be looking for places well outside manassas where it might be a little quieter. Thanks for any info!

You don't need much other than the Potomac.But, here are some other options less than 4 hours.
Lake Anna (90 minutes)
Kerr Res. (3 1/2 hours)
Lake Gaston (3 1/2 hours)
James River (90 minutes)
Rappahannock River (90 minutes)
Chickahominy River (2 1/2 hours) A tributary to the James, but a big place.
Chickahominy Lake (2 1/2 hours)
Lake Chesdin (2 hours)
Smith Mountain Lake (4 hours)
Deep Creek Lake, MD (3 1/2 hours)
There are also many trolling motor only or limited horse power lakes in Norther VA that you can launch a bass boat in and just use the trolling motor.
If you fish tournaments there are many active trails and clubs in the area. If you need any ifo about the area in general let me know, I live about 15 minutes from Manassas.

Manassas area puts you close to a lot of good water as Steve has listed. None better than the Potomac though. I envy the shorter drive you will have (90-150 miles to some spots for me)
