Back in '81, or '82 I was with Spec Boat and we had 2 Cigarette boats show up one day. These were Jacoby's personal boats for us to use for testing a new platform for Seal Team. Along with the boats came a support truck with spare engines. We were told to run the boats any way we wanted, but were also told not to touch the engines. The engines cost $80K each back then. We blew up 2 engines and a stern drive.Great boats, but not what we wanted.
