Fished the munkey yesterday and caught 2 smallies. Have only caught one smallie before this day... We just don't have them in Florida. This picture is of the smallest about a 1.5 lb'er. Largest was just over 2 lbs... Fished about 6 hours and caught 9 keepers (7 largemouth, 2 smallie's) best 5 would have went about 10-11 lbs... Great day on the water with a good friend..... Gotta love the munkey this time of year!!!!!

Got to love the Pamunkey. It looks like you had a good day. Next time try for the Trifecta.....go upriver till you get to the irrigation pump on left side and catch a spotted bass. Nothing better than catching largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass all in one day on the Pamunkey
Had a good day on the pamunkey myself. A little trying at times. Had a wire on the fuel pump that decided it was a loose connection. Once we figured that out we were good to go.

It's funny....but you only see Mike with just 1 fish all the time....
niceI went to the munkey yesterday also and caught plenty of largemouth but no smallies. Ill give it a try again next weekend

I did that exact thing yesterday.....Sure was a good time...Just wish that the spots where a little bigger....Caught alot of spots working upriver towards the pump...I think I will call them the patch bass for the rough patch on the tongue. Only one smallie yesterday but it was a keeper. Tide was real low, I thought, when we launched in the morning... Not the best tide to fish... Hopefully it will be better next weekend... Hey BIG JOHNSON, if I am fishing against you one fish is all I need... You must not have heard the club changed my name from Mike to CLUB CHAMPION...Take care buddy.

And Mike, you did a great job this season buddy...congrats. I wish I could have joined the club earlier in the season, then I might have done better than 12th. Still, I don't feel bad, having only fished 6 of the season tournies and finishing 2 spots above Perry....
