Anybody know where to stay at smith mountian lake for a tournament. I am coming down there in october..

98% Baitfish. There is a very little grass if any, because they kill it off. Go to:
http://www.limit-5fishinginfo.com/ They will be able to help you. It is mostly a structure lake. Rock and brush piles everywhere. Docks are everywhere too. That time of year they will be following the shad in the back of the creeks.

Lake Motel in Moneta, state park has cabins. There is another motel up the lake on the water with a ramp(i think in Indian creek).

Also, there's Mariners Landing on the lower end.

Plenty of rental houses around there, you might find a cheap one for a whole weeks rental.
