    Free Above Ground Pool steps

I am making some changes to my pool this year...one is to replace the steps with a lighter set that I can pull out on my own for winter storage..ones I have I bought for my elderly parents to use for ease of entry and exit...

Very nice set..full stair pads, railings etc...anyone that wants them can have them, just come get them...all together and ready to go...

Also anyone that knows someone who does above ground pool replacement of liners, floor pad and cove molding for a reasonable price...I am going to remove the old liner myself and prepare bottom with some additional sand, so I will handle that part...

I am upgrading and putting in a new liner this year...original pool installer did not do a good job, divets in bottom, etc...so gonna do some fixin up this spring.....

Joyce, before you sand your pool bottom, you might want to ask around. I used sand in the bottom of mine, and it will move around. You cannot pack sand. Vermiculite might be a better alternative. It can be shaped into a nice rounded edge in the corners. I installed my liner (18x34) and you can do it. I had the advantage of having my brother around, who used to install pools, but now I'm convinced that I could have done it without his advice. You will however, need a few hands. Steaks and beer kept a small crew occupied while I filled mine. I'd bank on at least 4 people, preferably 6.
I began to fill mine with water from the well since it went slowly enough that I could insure it was centered. Only after about 3 hours of that did I have water brought in from a truck. The key is to let the liner fall evenly, hence the need for multiple hands.
Do you have any pics of the steps?

thanks Greg...I'll look into the Formiculite..never heard of it..where do you get it..Lowe's??

Want this done right this time, part of reason I'm sure liner tore was poor installaton...I want to add a pool bottom pad and cove molding for corners this time as well...and a new skimmer...only thing I dont know is if my liner is an over lap or a beaded...gonna have to take off the top rail in one place to see what I have...

My installer did a poor job...several sunken places, edges where liner sunk in and ultimatley where it tore..

Here ya go Allan....look just like these...had them since I got the pool about 2004 I believe, still in good shape...just make sure you buy some ladder pads to put under them...they run about $20-$30, helps to protect the liner...stop by and pick them up any time...I'll put them under my carport so you can get them even if I am not here if you decide you want them. IM me and I'll get you my address. Mine is a 18 x 33 oval.

Get the vermiculite from the same place you get your liner

*edit for spelling of "Vermiculite" *
