    hard to replace PDP?

    i have to replace the PDP on my 1999 Evinrude 150, looks pretty straight forward, looks like its bolted to a metal pannel, does that need to come off??

    I replaced the PDP on my 03 Jeff. You're right the metal panel needs to come off and you have phillips head screws in the back side of it.

    A little heads up, that metal plate has rubber shock absorbers I guess ya could call it. Mine had SS washers on the back of 'em next to the block,catch 'em afore they fall into the pans!!
