Off to the post office I go this morning because we have to report to the office and try to get the mail out.
Now on a good driving day it takes 4.5 to 5 hours to complete my route. On a day like today maybe 8-9.
So the question is how bad to you want your mail?

Exactly!! The more people on the road the more problems there will be....any time now the "lookilous" with their 4x4's will be out riding....more accidents....the police, fire and ems will have enough to deal with!
Stay home and look at it out the window! All those accidents keep the public safety folks from getting where there are real emergencies!
And trust me, the bad guys take full advantage of that knowledge to break in, steal, etc...knowing the police are "busy" dealing with idiots who had no reasons to be out there in the first place...
No reason for anyone to be going anywhere today if they dont have to report to work!! Stay home!!!

My brother is a rural carrier out of Ahoskie. Only 2 people made it in and one mail truck finally came in...with almost no mail. Brother stayed home, thank goodness. No one should have any need for mail when the weather is like this!!!
Amen to that brother, hate the snow. Rather see it in a painting.

Well went to work made it to about 65 mail boxes and returned to the office. It was just too unsafe to be out there.
Thanks everyone for taking the time to do the survey. A new carrier in the next town went in to a ditch and when he got pulled out took out a box. i am sure monday will be fun too.

I agree. I had more than enough of it when we lived in CT and NY! After I moved here, the only snow I wanted to see was on the ski mountains when I went back for a visit!!!
