    Richmond Fishing Expo Boats

Does not appear to be any one displaying the Stratos line. Time for C&O to make a road trip to Virginia.

Re: Richmond Fishing Expo Boats (Sterling)

I see Ranger is there but that is probably because Mare has other boat lines they are bringing too. I imagine it will be hard to find the Genmar boat brands at most of the shows right now since usually the manufacturers kick back money to the dealers for going to the shows and well right now all of the Genmar brands have such an open question as to the ownership I am sure there is no money getting kicked back.

The price of floor space has gotten outrageous and dealers can get a much better return on that investment from other means of advertising now. Then you have to factor in towing all those rigs to and from the show, add in the cost of staff and lodging, and an expo has outpriced itself.

Yes nice rig but a big eye opener on the price. Nice indeed but tough economy.

Very small show this year, not many boats to look at. The new Sterling (Gambler) steals the show but thats about it. Jerri bought a cutting board. Nothing there that I needed. Finally made it to the Richmond BPS...makes me dislike the Hampton store even more!

The Richmond BPS does blow away the Hampton one. Has a good restaurant in it too. Here's a thought, maybe sometime over the winter we can do a dinner or lunch BBC get together there. Do some shopping then all go grab a bite to eat. Would anybody be up for that.
