    Fuel problem please help

    I just changed my fuel line and bulb and when running at wot it sucks it flat so I thought maybe just a bad bulb so I bought another one(differet brand and it sounded like it was straving for fuel. The vent on the tank is not clogged up I checked. Any ideas????

    Oh and I have a 1990 Evinrude 150xp on a 90 396 javelin. Sorry forgot that..

    Any alarms? The Stratos/Javelins had anti syphon valves that would sometimes stick restricting fuel.

    No alarms and the bulb is pointing the right way.

    Is the anti siphon valve outside of the tank or inside?

    The anti syphon valves will be outside the tank, on top usually.

    Thank you I found it after tearing the carpet up and removing the cover panel to get to the tank. It took 6hrs to get apart. Sprayed a little PB Blaster and the aluminum anti syphon barb came right off and I replaced it with a brass one. I hope the brass one is better than the aluminum one...Hope it dont run bad now. I dont know what else to try.
