Evinrude ETEC Question

I have a new 115 Evinrude ETEC that I am breaking it in. I know they say you don't have to break one in but I am doing it anyway. I now have 5 hours on the motor. I have noticed that when I am at around 3400/3600 RPMs I can feel what I guess is a "miss" or something. Feels like the motor has a slight on/off hesistation. Any one ever have this problem or know what it is on a brand new motor. The gas I am using doesn't have any ethanol in it either. Man I hate having a problem with a new motor. Yes I can bring it back to the dealer but C&O is about a 50 mile drive from my house.

We will need to know what map the engine is running also, you need the diagnostic software to check this.

the motor doesnt need a break in, how do you know you are doing it correctly of there are no procedures?

I can't see how I can be doing anything wrong. All I have been doing is varying the RPMs and not getting above 4200 RPMs. I have my five break-in ours done. This weekend I will be putting the hammer down to see how fast it will run. After 10 hours, C&O lets you bring your new boat in to change the gear oil and recheck out everything. So that will be when I have them look at what is wrong with the motor hesitating at 3500 RPMs.
