    Hello New to Forum

Hey guys and gals new to the boards and fairly new to Northern , VA. Just wanted to introduce myself to all. This place is awesome!

I fish mostly Lake Anna and Potomac but look forward to trying out SML ,Gaston and Kerr at some point. You guys appear to be mostly in the southern part of the state or NC but I had a question for y'all. I'm not new to fishing but fairly new to tournament fishing , hell I haven't fished one since high school , I want to start fishing them regularly, it's something I've always wanted to do. I have my own boat but I don't know anyone here who is as die hard as me about fishing.

So here's my question: What circuit should I fish?
Does anybody need a partner next year?
Should I just join a club as a boater and get paired up with non-boaters?

Sorry for the long post and thanks for listening

    Welcome to the VA/NC boards.
I don't have the most experience on tx fishing, But my 2 cents, I think it depends on what type of tx fishing your looking for, If trying to get to the next level or bigger pay checks join a club that participates in regionals for points, If not looking to get to the next level join a club that fishes different waters in your area. I joined a good club that fishes most of the lakes and rivers around here, but it's more about fun then dollars. I made some new friends and learned about where all the rivers and ramps are around here, I still can't catch any fish though,

Would you consider "die hard" if I went to a tx not having enough money to buy gas to get back home unless I placed money?

    Anyways...welcome to the bbc!

    Welcome to the board Corey.

If you're failry new to torunament fishing I, personally, would recommend finding a local club and getting in with them. You can also check some of the ramps at the areas you fish to see if any sponsor any weekly open tourneys. Good way to get your feet wet and to learn the rules starting out. If you decide to take it to the next level, there's plenty of clubs in VA that fish the regionals.

Sorry to "pete 1" and "just add water" I was not implying that nobody on here was die hard , but where I live I do not know of anybody who I think is die hard.

Sorry for the confusion , should have wrote it diffrent.

Re: Hello New to Forum (pete 1)

O wow you are way up there bro! I had to go to mapquest because I wasn't sure. Quite a few guys on here that fish the Potomac and the Chick as well as all of us probably fishes Gaston and Kerr and some point in time.

I knew what you were trying to say. No apologies needed Just letting you know that we are all a little loco about fishing!

Howdy and congrats on joining the cluster flub club....

Big Johnson said it well...find a local club and start that way. If its federated, its a bonus at times. You can go to the regional and state fed tournys and get the big tourny feel.

Oh.....btw...be real weary of that rascal called FireBasser.....he likes to get people to try his Nuts.....
