    Looking for a bass boat

Im looking for a good used bass boat. Something probably early 90's but will consider others if in good shape. Not looking for junk or someone elses problems but rather something ready to fish. Let me know what you got and what you are asking. Thanks

Re: Looking for a bass boat (baseball2828)

Might help if you give some idea of what you are looking for. "early 90's... Not looking for junk or someone elses problems... something ready to fish" opens the door to anything.

The area you left open covers from 17 foot aluminum bass boats with 9.9hp on them for fishing small lakes to 22 foot TR-22 Tritons with huge outboards on the transom. Might be best to narrow it down by listing:
    1) aluminum or fiberglass?
    2) outboard hp range?
    3) any manufacturers you want or do not want to include?
    4) fully loaded (gps, sonar, etc...) or bare necessities?
    5) price range you are considering?

I know you probably want to keep it open, and don't want to post a price range because you don't want someone to post a max price... but if you aren't looking in the classifieds, it might be best to at least give a conservitive maximum price range.

Check out the classifieds on this site first. There are plenty of great deals there. If you don't find anything there, check out:

    http://www.boattrader.com/
    http://www.usedboats.com/find.htm
    http://www.boats.com/

... and plenty more available with a Google search. I sold my boat on boattrader.com within 72 hours of listing it. The guy who bought it actually called me within 22 hours of it being listed.

If you give me a better idea of what you are looking for, I'll do my best to help you locate something.

BTW... unfortunately, "early 90's" means 13 to 18 years old... warranty is long past... there will be no gaurantees on outboard condition at that age. If you want a strong running engine, I highly recommend the mid to late 90's Johnson Faststrike 150's (pre-FICHT). Those old carbed engines sucked down the gas, but were pretty bulletproof. That on a 18 footer moves along very well.

    All the best,
    Glenn

Re: Looking for a bass boat (TR-20XGlenn@Home)

Thx ...tin or glass is fine. 50-115 hp with trolling motor/depth finder would be great but not a deal breaker. 14-17ft Wife will only let me play with $XXXX. I appreciate any help Thx
