There are two ramps. I used to like putting in at the upper one. Caution....!!!!!!!watch the trees. You are probably aware that they impounded that whole place and never cut a tree. many have rotted off right at the water line. it's easy to get hung up or tear your boat up. There are a lot of Minnow fisherman there. Thats my excuse for not catching one of those 12lb bass out of there.... i wont throw the minnows. It's a blast though.

Went to college near Briery Creek. Didn't have any type of boat but I used to bank fish the crap out of that Creek. I was there when it blossomed into one of the biggest bass producers in the states back in 93. I will never forget throwing my BangOLure over a lay down log and catching the biggest fish in my life right there at the dam one early morning. However, I one time was using the pignjig around stumps...not a single hit....got pissed and realed it in real quick and noticed the biggest bass I have ever seen. Had to be 14+. Stopped the bait in front of him...he saw me and swam away. My god that place had big fish in it at that time. Don't know what it is producing now, but be prepared and have fun!

Grandparents live up that way. They took me there ever summer I visited them. Even saw it when they first impounded it. It was a awesome site. Same thing for sandy.
As far as boat ramps, the first one is the best. The farthest ramp is deeper. Seen a few trucks take the plunge in the water.
As Ed said you'll be in 40+ foot of water and get hung up on a tree. Been there done that. There are some shallow flats near the back, with plenty of grass. Senkos, manns minus 1, t-rigged lizards, and spinners were productive for me. And there are plenty of minno fishermans out there. I caught my first biggest bass out there, about 4 pounds. Took it to a pond by my grandparents house and about 5 years later a guy caught a 10 lber out of that pond. Grandparents swear it was the fish I put in there.
