I just hooked up a tach in my boat that never had one before so in went a new tach and a new plug in harness from the control box to the tach. The tack works intermittenly. So my question is its probably a broke wire sometimes making contact is my guess. Can I just run another wire from the terminal strip under the hood up to the tackto see if thats the problem. Its driving me nuts. Its a 90hp 94 Rude.On start up the tack works and when i hits say 3-3500rpms it cuts out to zero and only starts workin again on start up. What do ya'll think???????
