Is there any place local to get a good map of Kerr & Gaston ?? or any of the bigger fishing spots (rivers too)

BPS should have some good maps that may fit your need. I think they have the GMCO ones.

Tunis Landing Bait & Tackle has Kerr Lake maps. Also has Jordan, Falls Lake,etc.

Don't think he has one for Gaston lake yet.

He has ordered Chowan River maps.

I did not know there was such thing as a good chowan river map. The best one ive seen was at pembroke. Kind of like an areal map. That was not that good. If anyone knows of a good chowan rv map Ill take one

I have the old chart book that has all of the Albemarle Sound Rivers. Its pretty old but Ive never found anything better.

budro, i've got a pretty good map of the chowan.it's GMCO's chartbook of North Carolina and it's got the Chowan and all of the other rivers on it with contour lines...

We called them "red eye Rebels" and the shack at Bob's fishing hole would put one the shelf (one at a time). I used to make trips out there just for that lure. I can never find them on Ebay...
