Really Becoming a big fan of NPFL:)

I think it's just a matter of time before all the top-tier guys are fishing NPFl! Been watching this Douglas lake tournament and what a joy it has been to watch no Forward facing sonar/ Just good old bass fishing the way it should be. Even the presentation of the program is great with very professional looking screen graphics along withfat cat and Luke!
I also love how you can click on the live link and not have to listen to 30 seconds of unneeded advertisements .....I have barely watched much of the elite series anymore. Who else is starting to gravitate over to NPFL? If so, what are the reasons you enjoy it more than BPT or the elites?

I like it quite a bit. They start getting a few more cameras and keep honing their craft a little. They’re doing great though for as young as they are.

BPT still king right now from live production. B.A.S.S. definitely at the bottom in my opinion.

B/t the NPFL and the new MLF BPT format, I have no reason to waste my time anymore with BASS Live. Dang shame too because I've been a BASS man my whole life. The reality is that the NPFL and BPT are just that much better products imho.

Unchecked FFS usage just sucks imho. I'm okay with some, but when you allow it unchecked it just ruins the sport again imho.

I watch all 3 formats when I have time. I’m not gravitating toward or away from any of them. I am of the opinion that the BASS coverage/show format is the worst of the 3, but I like the 5-fish, use what technology you want aspect of it best despite the aggravating commercials and commentary.

Here at office today working and had it on whole time. I too enjoy this. Guys staring and flipping a minnow with a fairy wand not for me. I want to see fish hitting off structure, way more exciting.

BASS is unwatchable anymore. I don't like any of the talking heads, especially that turd Ronnie Moore. I started watching NPFL this season and have been pleasantly surprised. I went to Douglas Lake for the weigh in on day 1 and it was refreshing as it moved quick. BASS weigh-in's are awful and seem to take like 4 hours to get through. The parking lot I parked in was right near the stage so I could sit on my tailgate and watch the weigh in from there. The staff running the event were very nice as well, directing people on where to park etc. Definitely a well-run series and as much of a BASS fan as I've been in the past, I could care less if I ever watch any BASS events again. It's also nice to see fishing when you watch it live, and not commercials or flashbacks every 5 seconds. And no arrogant little host telling me that he knows more about fishing than me. Has Ronnie ever even fished before?!

I do like the catch, weigh, release format of MLF, I think it is probably the best format to help preserve fisheries, But I won't watch FFS events. Today was the 1st time I've watched a NPFL event, I liked it!

I'd like to see a format where the angler weighs his fish, and puts that fish in the livewell. If he catches another fish, he records that weight and if it's bigger, cull the livewell fish. At the end of the day, take his big fish out of the livewell and the 4 recorded nearest weights to weigh in.

Could be this no F F S format will catch on. Yaay! Real bass fishing.

1st tournament Jason Christie for the win

2nd tournament Greg Hackney for the win

3rd tournament Scott Canterbury for the win

So far in the 2025 AOY race 7 of top 10 are current Elite anglers. I think what your watching is the Elite series minus FFS. I'm not saying its a bad thing but I wonder how the people who been there for a few years or since the beginning like that the Elites have made such a impact on the check line. Heck they have yet to fish the lake Scott Canterbury calls his home lake and he has already notched a win. Looking at the schedule I see that all the lakes are places Greg Hackney is very familiar with and has has some strong finishes. I don't know if he can hang onto the AOY points but he is currently in first. At the Championship Hackney will be at a place he has done well at in the past. If Hackney does not win AOY I very well still see him being the $ leader for the season.

Rumor has it some major sponsor dollars are shifting to NPFL next season , if it’s true it may be the start of the end for another major trail unless Garmin is gonna fund it all ! Gonna be interesting

It should be a good competitive trail fishing in the style of the early 2000s

I ain’t got anything against that. Maybe it will be more fun to watch. Tried watching a few BASS this year and I had rather watch paint dry. Makes watching golf way more exciting.

Today was the first time I watched it and I liked it.
But I will still watch golf, FFS tournaments, and baseball to help me sleep.
