    High on the list of things that frustrate the S$it out of me

    I am sure there are many but just having finished doing this I have to say;
    re-spooling a weed wacker/ string trimmer is enough to drive me to drink.

    They tend to want to unspool themselves. Mine is just awful because the "string" keeps breaking.

    Do yourself a favor and buy a new head that you simply put about 15 feet of line in, pull ends even and just turn it by hand to wind the line into the spool.

    Stihl Autocut head. Thank me later. On year 3 with this head and no more cussing. Back in business in 2-3 minutes when you run out of string.

    I don’t understand. That stuff is easy peasy. I freak out about grass growing in my gravel driveway and always picking up limbs and branches from trees because of all these darned storms as of late.

    My Echo takes all of two minutes to restring. Takes me longer to remember where the spool of string is.

    Get the echo speed feed head, I put one on my STIHL trimmer, takes like 20 seconds to reload it. All you do is twist and it winds it for you, nothing to take apart.

    I have one of those and it still sux. The line tends to break off inside and I have to take it apart,

    I find my Echo's pretty easy and quick. Only issue is I have both a straight and curved shaft. They wind the string opposite each other so I have to look inside the spool to see which direction to go..

    I have the same one and I hate it. Doesn’t feed line very well when tapping the head either. Won’t feed or wants to feed two feet at a time.

    Friend who used to cut at a golf course showed me the type which use pre cut lengths. That's what he said they all used. I never looked back to the spooling type.

    That is funny as it took me 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get the trimmer head off.
    This included trying to find my trimmer on you tube.

    Both of my Ryobi heads are like that. Usually takes me longer to go to the shop and cut several feet of line off the spool. I have a ton of chainlink so have to respool at some point every time I weedeat.

    Is that small spot with someone already on it really worth finding out the hard way they don't like company? Keep it a mystery and go somewhere else.
