    Targetlock issue

    Good morning
i bought a new boat with 2 Helix 12’s gen 4 and added my. Solix 15 Gen 2 with my Megalive 1, 360, and Targetlock. When have the TL follow the quest Tm, it stops tracking after 55 seconds. The first time it happened last week, I rebooted the system 4 times and it work the rest of the day. Friday and yesterday I probably rebooted the whole system 20 times and never did stop the issue

    any suggestions.

    Thanks

Check your network cable, especially at the Quest control head...

When your having issues with losing the steer option, do you have any other functions that do not work? Specifically, any of the advance GPS options like spot lock, autopilot, etc. Do the on screen buttons for MK steer or TL disappear?

Are you running the old version 5 port ethernet hub?

All other functions appear to work. Spot lock remains solid. It is both the steer and sweep that disengage.

Also, I have one new ethernet hub (with lights) and the other is new as well (3 month old Skeeter), but old design.

Also, I did disconnect all ethernet cables and connected them back yesterday. Did not make a difference. Also had 12.8 volts on battery, so that is not an issue.

If you have the One Boat Network app check you are up to date on all updates for your Quest and also make sure there is enough slack in the cables for the Target Lock. Otherwise

Barring some sort of software version bug between the quest, TL/ML and/or the head units, my personal opinion would be the old design hub. Not sure where that hub is in your network but my personal experience with the old hubs was often intermittent connection issues that would show up and often be rectified with a system reboot. But they would always return.

Jacquart21, you might be correct with your assessment. I put the Targetlock/Mega Live, Solix, & Trolling motor on the new lighted ethernet hub last night. I bypassed the old style hub (even though it is new), and it worked for the short time on the water. I will give it more time this Friday.

    Thanks for your help.
