True story: we were ice fishing in Loon Lake WI. Near Shawano Lake. A guy is trying to get his wife’s car out of the snow on the ice. We pull him out and start shooting the breeze. He lives appx 100 ft from the launch and tells us about his 8 lb walleye living in his bathtub. We’re skeptical so he goes into his house and brings it out.

I had a good friend who worked as a bass guide in Florida . He and his wife did an aquarium freshwater and put very small bream , crappie , bass , perch etc in it . Fishing in the canals below Orlando he caught a peacock bass about six inches long , beautiful color . Brought it home and put it in the aquarium . Next morning the peacock bass was the only fish in the tank . He took it to the lake and released it .

I call the green fishy’s on the refuge/marsh behind my house “my pets”…. When the conditions get right and they decide to eat, I’ll get to say hello to about 50 of them in a couple hours… zoom Uv speed craw is the dinner bell. (Doesn’t really matter what color)
